What Makes Us Green

leavesWe use green non-toxic, environmentally safe cleaning products and solutions that are plant based.  These are great products for people with any allergies or any chemical sensitivities, as there are no harsh smells and they are plant based.

Why Clean Your Upholstery?

We use a special upholstery cleaning tool, so upholstery & mattresses aren’t left overly soaked and won’t take more than a few hours to dry.

  • Cleaning revives the color and adds life back into the fabric.
  • Trapped odors are removed so upholstery smells clean and fresh again (especially if you have pets allowed on the furniture)
  • Spots, soil build up and everyday air bourne particles are removed
  • An application of furniture protector shields against oils, dry soil damage from everyday “wear & tear”, and permanent staining.

11-Step Upholstery Cleaning Procedure

No corners are cut

“Our upholstery cleaners go through an intense 11-Step system so you’ll get the cleanest, freshest and healthiest furniture possible. Other upholstery cleaners in Rochester don’t do half of the steps we do. Skipping any them will leave soil and spots behind.”

Step 1 – The upholstery cleaner will take measurements, answer questions, and address areas of concern. The exact cleaning investment is given before the cleaning begins. We will only proceed with the cleaning if you approve of the work discussed.

Step 2 – Each piece of furniture being cleaned will be pulled out away from walls or surrounding furniture so the upholstery cleaner can access all sides. We ask that you remove any breakable items from table tops that may be next to the furniture being cleaned.

Step 3 – Dry soil is thoroughly removed using a high quality commercial vacuum. This is the most important step in the upholstery cleaning process. Sadly, most other cleaners skip this step to reduce time. However, skipping this step significantly reduces the amount of soil that can be extracted. Once dry soil becomes wet, it turns into a fine gritty type mud and is much more difficult to remove. We always include this step to remove maximum soil!

Step 4 – A pre-conditioner solution is applied to break down soil, body oils and general spots. Heavily soiled areas receive extra conditioner.

Step 5 – Difficult spots are pre-treated with special spotting agents to increase chances of removal. Our trucks are stocked with over 15 different spotting agents for all types of stubborn stains.

Step 6 – The pre-cleaning solutions are brushed into the upholstery to further loosen soil below the surface for a deeper cleaning.

Step 7 – Your furniture is then disinfected, killing germs and bacteria by repeatedly rinsing using hot water without over-wetting or leaving a soil attracting residue behind. It’s important for upholstery cleaners not to leave behind soil attracting residue because it will act like a magnet and attract large amounts of soil in a very short period of time.

Step 8 – Any spots or stains that are still remaining get a second treatment with our spotting agents for a repeated attempt at removing them. If the spot is removable (there some that are permanent) we will get it out.

Step 8.5 – See information below.

Step 9 – The upholstery is brushed again to help it dry faster and bring up the nap (depending on the fabric).

Step 10 – To further decrease drying time, a turbo air mover is placed on the floor to speed up the drying process. Your fabric is left only damp and depending on the type of fabric, the air flow in your home and weather outside, it should be bone dry within 2-8 hours. Fans will help it to dry much faster.

Step 11 – The cleaner will have you inspect the results to make sure you are thrilled before we leave your home. If something isn’t right we’ll make another attempt at fixing it for you.

Mattress Cleaning

Just as Important…..Maybe Even More Important To Have Cleaned Than Carpet & Upholstery!

Most people don’t feel a mattress needs to be cleaned unless there is an accident of some sort. What they don’t realize is a mattress needs to be cleaned more frequently than your carpet and upholstery does.

Having a mattress pad doesn’t reduce the need for cleaning. Stuff like dead skin, dust mites, body oils from sweat and other unmentionables from pets and children still reach the mattress and make it even more important to have your mattress cleaned frequently.

6 Month Protector Warranty

We highly recommend having your fabric protected after the cleaning for a longer life and fewer permanent stains. With the purchase of protector, you receive a free bottle of professional spotter with lifetime refills and a 6-month, money back guarantee. Our upholstery cleaners will discuss the important benefits of having fabric protector applied, but will never pressure you into buying it.
