- Pre-inspection — we go over the rug with you, note any existing wear, damage or problem spots, and answer your questions before anything gets wet
- Fiber and colorfastness test — we confirm the fiber and test a hidden area first, so there are no surprises
- Dry soil removal — the most important step there is; the loose grit comes out before any moisture goes in
- Pre-treatment — cleaning solution applied and given time to break down oils and ground-in soil
- Agitation — worked through the fibers so the solution reaches the base, not just the surface
- Hot water extraction — hot water under pressure flushes the soil and the solution back out
- Spot treatment — anything still showing gets addressed on its own
- Grooming — fibers set back in the right direction so the rug dries evenly
- Speed drying — air movers to cut the drying time down
- Final walkthrough — we look over the finished rug with you before we pack up
If a Pet Has Used the Rug, Tell Us First
Urine doesn’t stay on the surface. It soaks through the rug and into the pad or the floor underneath. Cleaning the top of the rug will not solve an odor that has gone below it — so inform the technician up front so that concern can be properly addressed.
