If a Pet Has Used the Rug, Tell Us First

Urine doesn’t stay on the surface. It soaks through the rug and into the pad or the floor underneath. Cleaning the top of the rug will not solve an odor that has gone below it — so inform the technician up front so that concern can be properly addressed.

Thicker rugs retain more moisture and take longer to dry. We recommend keeping foot traffic off the rug until it’s fully dry, and placing it flat rather than rolling it up wet.
Yes. We typically clean area rugs on a hard floor surface, which actually makes it easier to extract moisture effectively. We take precautions to protect your floors from any drips or overspray. If the rug is on carpet, we may move it to a nearby hard floor area for cleaning, then return it after cleaning is complete. We’ll discuss the logistics with you before we start.
Professional cleaning with the right products and technique should not damage colors or texture on synthetic rugs. We always pre-test an inconspicuous area before full cleaning to check for colorfastness. On very old or sun-faded rugs, the existing color loss may become more visible after cleaning because the contrast sharpens — this is not damage from the process.
